What is THCA

THCA is a cannabinoid derived from Hemp which carries psychoactive effects and euphoric feelings associated with the typical properties associated with cannabis consumption. THCA has similar psychoactive effects to Delta 9 THC and is another amazing cannabinoid to add to your cannabis collection. THCA, is the raw cannabinoid precursor of delta 9 THC. In raw cannabis material, THCA is present, rather than delta 9. It’s only when THCA is decarboxylated (heated to a threshold temperature) that it converts into delta 9 THC.

What are the effects of THCA

As a new cannabinoid, there are not definite studies of long-term effects but users have experienced the following: physical buzz, relaxed, mood-enhancing, and euphoric effects.

Is THCA legal?

Thanks to the H.R.2 - Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, ratified and signed into law in December 2018, Cannabis containing less than 0.3% Delta 9-THC is legally classified as Hemp and thus is legal for all intents and purposes under federal law. With this said, THC itself isn’t federally illegal, only specifically Delta 9-THC is.

Is THCA safe?

THCA is completely nontoxic to adult humans, as is delta 9 THC. These cannabinoids do not cause overdose, and no life-threatening effects have been reported.

Will THCA make me fail a drug test?

Short answer: yes. THCA products can cause you to fail a drug test, since your body will be metabolizing THC rather than THCA. THC converts into THC-COOH in the liver, and this metabolite is what is responsible for a positive drug test result. Please don’t take our THCA products if you are going to be drug-tested in the near future.
